April 25th in Alaska

We got 20 inches of snow in one day! Thankfully it didn't stay long!

Two Teeth

Levi got his first tooth on last Saturday. We were sitting in our young marrieds group and he was getting kind of fussy being on my lap. I starting feeling his gums and lo and behold there was a tooth (very sharp). I felt his gums again on Wednesday and viola, there was another tooth!

Levi seven and one half months

New Job

After one year without many answers at all, God has given us an answer to our prayers! John got a job on his birthday (last Wednesday)! We are both so excited for this change in our lives. He is working at Arctic Slope Regional Corp. here in Anchorage. John had originally wanted to work up on the north slope but we are very thankful that he got a job here in town and can come home every evening instead of doing two weeks on two weeks off like he would have if he worked up on the slope. John is considered a certified pipefitter and so far he is liking the work he is doing. He came home yesterday covered in dirt; I think this might take a little getting used to. :)

Minnesota

Levi and I (Renee) just spent two and a half weeks in Minnesota visiting family and friends. We had so much fun getting to visit my brother, Brad and his wife, Andrea, my parents, my mom's side of the family, and my best friend from high school, Sarah, and her brand new little son, Levi. Even though it hasn't been that long, I have almost forgotten what it is like to hold a newborn. While we were in MN Levi learned how to babble (blah, blah, blah, da, da, da, mama (maybe)), get up on all fours for a few minutes, the joy of rolling a ball, and how good squash tastes! Needless to say we had a good time, but John was so happy to have us back home! And we were ready to be back especially after a 6 hour plane ride (Levi wanted to stay awake for the whole thing).
